On a Lingua Franca Voyage, our aim is to create a unique learning experience and true cultural exchange for you.

Our aim is to leave you feeling more confident than ever before about your French and comfortable that you could return independently, know your way around and have a couple of new, local friends to call upon while you’re there. We try to get under the skin of a destination, as we believe this is where the richness lies.

While the destinations and styles of the trips vary, they all have one thing in common: the summer school component. We know you want to work on and perfect your French in real-life situations, but also feel supported and secure, which is why we recreate the Lingua Franca nest in each place we visit.

The concept of the summer school is simple: lessons in the morning, three afternoon activities and a welcome and farewell dinner across a week.

In destinations where we think you already know well or want to be free to explore, we leave the trip at that.

For more off-the-beaten track places, we’ll often arrange a more comprehensive experience to ensure you get the very most out of the destination, with a minimum of organisation from your end.

We do recommend hotels and other activities and if you’re keen to have someone arrange the finer details for you, we can also put you in touch with an excellent travel agent.

No matter the style of trip, there’s one other perennial feature: a relaxed approach. Like our lessons, Lingua Franca trips will always be low-key and friendly, as we believe happy brains learn (and travel) best.
